Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounts Administrator to join our clients finance team in a dynamic distribution company. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role requires strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in accounting software.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions.
Maintain accurate financial records and assist in preparing financial reports.
Handle invoicing, credit control, and payment processing.
Assist in bank reconciliations and expense management.
Support the finance team with budgeting and forecasting.
Prepare VAT returns and assist in tax compliance.
Maintain payroll records and liaise with payroll providers where necessary.
Monitor and manage company expenses, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Communicate with suppliers and customers regarding financial transactions.
Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
General administrative duties related to finance and accounting.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 1+ years in an accounting or finance role, preferably within a distribution or logistics company.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
Numerical Ability: Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Organizational Skills: Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with other departments.
