Capital Actuary-12 Month Fixed-Term Contract-Hybrid

The TCOE is seeking a qualified Capital Actuary to join the TCOE Capital Actuarial team for a 12-month FTC. The role involves working on the production and methodology of the Solvency II Internal Capital Model and other related actuarial and capital management processes to ensure ZIE meets its obligations in these areas.

You will handle complex actuarial, capital, and performance tasks independently. The ideal candidate will consistently deliver high-quality work while adhering to professional standards. This position is located in the IFSC.

Your Role

General

  • Perform complex analyses as assigned with minimal supervision
  • Review and update internal model methodology, expert judgments, and limitations
  • Produce capital results and scenarios, contribute to Profit and Loss Attribution
  • Support cross-functional discussions and collaborations
  • Develop relationships with senior colleagues
  • Assist junior team members with tasks

Capital

  • Manage Solvency II Internal Model requirements for defined risk types
  • Produce and report results, including reconciliations
  • Contribute to regulatory compliance
  • Enhance processes, documentation, and tools
  • Support various teams on ad-hoc basis
  • Undertake projects as directed
Your Skills & Experience

Required

  • Qualified actuary
  • Several years of actuarial experience, preferably non-life
  • Experience in multiple functions

Knowledge

Intermediate knowledge of actuarial guidance and legislationUnderstanding of finance, accounting practices, SII capital models, and industry trendsInsight into business concepts and decision-making processes

Technical Skills

Proficiency in spreadsheet software and statistical toolsStrong communication and presentation skillsSelf-motivated with the ability to work under pressureEffective at prioritizing and project managementCapable of building constructive relationshipsFlexible and adaptable to changeCreative problem solver
