Our Client is Ireland's oldest non-profit organisation, founded nearly 300 years ago. Their 42-acre multi-purpose venue in Dublin is unique in Ireland, delivering memorable experiences across sporting, hospitality, live entertainment, and exhibitions for everyone within their community.

Our Client is powered by a team of over 100 employees working in partnership with their suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

Our Client has secured the green light for a new €50 million Anglesea Stand for their venue which makes it is a very exciting time to join the business

1: Proactive selling and securing new business opportunities for the Client, achieving budget targets/ KPIs set on an annual basis through:

  • Management of individual sales pipelines, forecasting, and delivering on targets as agreed with the Head of Sales/Commercial Director while ensuring adherence to internal reporting requirements.
  • Staying close to the market maintaining a strong awareness of trends for the event industry and sports and live entertainment.
  • Displaying professional proficiency in the sales process: lead generation, proposal preparation, site visits, contract negotiations, sale closure, and post-event client relationship management.
  • Adopting an entrepreneurial and strategic approach to reframe the business model delivering new revenue streams.
  • Maximizing the use of technology for the sales process and for the Client to deliver an exceptional and profitable annual calendar of events.
  • Using the Client's events booking system (EBMS) and supporting technology to provide real-time information on venue bookings and availability and event status.
  • Active participation in sales handover meetings to maintain excellent communication lines externally with the client and internally with all functional areas to support the creation of a center of excellence for events.

2. Building on established and new relationships with clients to ensure a high level of

satisfaction with the venue using active account management strategies:

  • Primary point of contact for the client throughout their lifecycle with the Client.
  • Working with their partners across food, beverage, AV, Ticketing, etc., to ensure a single
  • interface for the client while optimizing all opportunities.
  • Post-event contact with the Client to seek feedback for the business to ensure the venue
  • services, facilities, and staff are meeting their customer's requirements.
  • Participate in any other Client projects, events, or activities as directed by the Commercial
  • Director and/or Chief Executive.

Person Specification:

  • Proven track record of winning new business, closing sales, and successfully managing existing
  • client accounts and tracking progress against agreed targets.
  • Strong negotiation skills for the most successful outcome.
  • Ability to manage and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Creativity in maximizing sales across the venue.
  • A team player with a strong work ethic.
  • Motivated, confident, and credible person with a passion for customer service.
  • Enjoys a purpose-led approach and identifies with making a positive social impact through
  • selling.
  • Strong presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
  • A creative problem solver with an ability to work calmly under pressure.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and ICT tools.
