Reporting to the VP of Atlas Development, we are seeking a skilled Atlas Cloud Security Architect to take charge of designing and implementing Azure security architecture for the Atlas platform, which serves as the bedrock for PTC's cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will collaborate with PTC's Atlas R&D team to set and uphold security standards across PTC's Atlas cloud environments. Additionally, they will be responsible for communicating security requirements to PTC's product development units and delivery teams, fostering synergy with other security disciplines throughout the organization. The primary goal is to mitigate risks and facilitate secure, efficient business operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual passionate about cloud security, architecture, and operations to contribute to the forefront of enterprise software security within a leading global tech enterprise.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop security architecture for PTC's Atlas cloud services.
- Collaborate with PTC product teams, IT security, and the Chief Product Security officer to ensure alignment of Atlas security architecture.
- Define and test security mechanisms to contribute to threat modeling for Atlas and its associated applications.
- Identify and mitigate potential attack vectors throughout the product lifecycle by designing mechanisms, establishing internal policies, and implementing monitoring systems.
- Stay up-to-date with industry advancements to introduce innovative methods for securing cloud offerings, aligning with best practices and standards.
- Promote and implement robust security practices within the Atlas organization, including tasks like threat modeling, secure code reviews, penetration testing, and advocating for Hackathon events.
- Conduct routine security assessments and audits to uncover vulnerabilities and develop plans to address them.
- Provide security evaluations of Atlas platform architecture designs and proposals.
- Engage with PTC risk and compliance teams to ensure security practices evolve to prevent vulnerabilities proactively.
- Regularly interact with PTC internal customers to address security concerns and understand customer security preferences and needs.
Minimum Required Skills & Experience:
- Proficient in analytical thinking and problem-solving, capable of strategically and tactically addressing complex cloud security challenges.
- Experience in evaluating, designing, implementing, optimizing, and documenting various security technologies and processes.
- Skilled in performing threat modeling and conducting design reviews to assess security requirements of new technologies.
- Expertise in enterprise application software, including architecture, development support, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, and CIS Controls.
- Strong communication skills to influence and enhance security practices within Atlas teams effectively.
- Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate across organizational boundaries.
- Effective project management skills, capable of handling multiple projects and priorities within fast-paced environments while meeting deadlines.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field
- 10+ years of experience in designing and implementing secure cloud computing solutions; alternatively, a higher-level degree with at least 5 years of pertinent industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Azure Government, including ITAR, FedRAMP, or equivalent compliance levels.
- Prior involvement in an enterprise SaaS company.
- Holder of at least one industry security certification (CISSP, SSCP, CISA, etc.).
