Data Center Services Procurement within Data Center Global Services plays a crucial role in obtaining top-notch services at competitive prices and managing the complete "Supplier Lifecycle" encompassing Strategic Sourcing and Intake, Onboarding, Solicitations, Spending and Transaction Policy (S&TP) Compliance, Contract Management, Supplier Development, and aspects of requisitioning and payment operations.


We are on the lookout for a skilled Procurement professional to provide operational support for the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) data center construction domain.

As a Procurement Operations Specialist, your primary responsibilities will involve collaborating with procurement category managers to drive and sustain procurement projects and operations.



Operations include:
  • Supplier qualifications
  • Request for proposals
  • Vendor performance dashboards for construction
  • Due diligence
  • Preparing operations reports
  • Supplier data maintenance activities


Projects include:
  • Process automation
  • Cycle time improvements
  • Reporting metrics

In addition, you will offer insights on procurement processes and tools to pinpoint inefficiencies and drive innovation across teams.


Key job responsibilities:

  • Independently and cross-functionally deliver on projects/goals
  • Lead process improvement projects for procurement operations
  • Manage assigned supplier onboarding and qualification processes
  • Oversee assigned tender events and support contract generation for the category manager
  • Identify dashboard requirements for metrics reporting and process enhancement opportunities, and develop training documentation

Our EMEA team is dedicated to enhancing procurement operations to bolster AWS's leadership in the rapidly evolving data center computing industry. We strive to identify operational inefficiencies, drive efficiencies, and enhance the procurement process regularly. By identifying opportunities and leading projects, you will play a vital role in crafting a more efficient procurement operation for our internal customers, including construction managers, engineers, and category managers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
  • Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership
  • Experience leading process improvements
  • Experience in stakeholder management across various organizational levels
  • Experience in building processes, project management, and schedules
