Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a standout individual to join the Construction Coordination team as a Coordination Program Manager.

We are a group of dedicated Program Managers within the AMER Data Center Capacity and Delivery (DCCD) Business Management office.

Our office provides coordination services, leads strategic initiatives, and drives reporting and communication efforts for our Controls, Construction, Critical Projects, and Commissioning customers across the organization.

We are all about operational efficiency, and we always strive for the best standards. In this position, your role involves facilitating program coordination for the AMER DCCD Construction teams.

You will be engaged in the entire life cycle of construction projects, handling activities from the initiation of the project through execution and closure.

You will collaborate with skilled professionals from Engineering, Design, Construction, Procurement, Finance, and Legal to deliver essential elements needed to construct AWS data centers.

The ideal candidate will be an effective communicator (both written and verbal), unfazed by ambiguity or conflicting priorities, possessing a fundamental grasp of data center construction, and a keenness to learn and explore.

They should be meticulous and use various program coordination tools, methodologies, and techniques to expedite and streamline purchasing processes across all construction disciplines.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in Construction Management, Cost Controls, Accounting, or related field; experience can substitute for a degree
  • 3+ years of experience in construction contract management, construction-related accounting, or vendor management
  • 3+ years as a proficient user of Windows and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in creating budgets and forecasts based on historical data
  • Experience with Procore
Key job responsibilities:
  • Initiating and managing new projects on construction management software
  • Tracking project status and communicating updates to internal and external teams
  • Managing change orders and updating trackers accordingly
  • Overseeing the invoicing tool for project invoicing
  • Handling construction document management processes
  • Troubleshooting software issues and escalating when necessary
  • Collaborating with Construction Managers to resolve documentation and administrative issues
  • Compiling and sharing relevant metric information with program leadership
  • Identifying and resolving roadblocks and ensuring prompt solutions
  • Interacting with clients to assist them in software utilization
  • Conducting onboarding and training sessions for clients
  • Supporting construction managers in work order creation and documentation
  • Regularly auditing the software
  • Managing and tracking Requests for Quotes, Work Orders, Purchase Orders, and more
  • Maintaining contracts, budgets, and spend status
  • Implementing coordination- and finance-related reports and dashboards
  • Developing and updating team documentation and training materials

About the team:
