Role Purpose:
  • As a Solutions Architect at Vodafone Business Unit (VBU) in Ireland, you will play a crucial role in the Solutions Sales team, determining suitable technology solutions for customers.
  • You will handle requests for new technology solutions from customers using standard Vodafone products.
  • Collaborate closely with various VBU team members to ensure the designed technology solutions meet customer needs.
  • Deliver high-quality, commercially feasible technology solutions approved by customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for creating documentation detailing proposed solutions and associated costs for customer contract agreements.
Essence of Role - Key Responsibilities:Security Solution Design
  • Gather requirements and formulate network security architecture, including various security technologies.
  • Design and implement security solutions to safeguard IT infrastructure.
  • Create incident response plans for addressing security incidents effectively.
  • Identify security design gaps and recommend enhancements.
  • Provide project consulting on information security architecture.
  • Assist in multi-product solution design.
Sales
  • Provide technical support during commercial discussions with customers.
  • Offer costs for Finance approval and contribute to bid materials/Tender responses.
  • Support Account Managers during bid discussions and presentations with customers.
  • Present technical solutions to clients at peer level.
Design
  • Understand and capture customer requirements.
  • Translate requirements into Vodafone language and produce design documentation.
  • Liaise with Product Management and other experts as needed.
  • Support the Project team for successful project sign off.
In Life
  • Establish technical relationships with clients.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities.
  • Manage and respond to evolving customer technology requirements.
Knowledge and Experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of security products and encryption protocols.
  • Knowledge of LAN Data Switching protocols and Telecommunication/IT service models.
  • Experience in solution design, Telco, or IT development.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills.
We Are Looking For You, If You Have:Essential
  • 3rd Level Technology Qualification or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Computer Science.
  • Industry certification to Associate level.
  • Strong customer service focus and experience in solution design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
  • Ability to operate effectively with virtual teams.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
Desired
  • Professional level industry certification.
  • Skills in Project Management like Prince II or ITIL qualification.
  • Strong business acumen and problem-solving abilities.
