  • Advert Title: EHS Specialist
  • Advert Text: Reporting to the HSEQ Manager, the EHS Specialist will support the company EHS management system. You will be responsible for providing technical support on environmental, health, and safety systems to ensure compliance with applicable regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Main Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Support the HSEQ Manager.
    • Conduct work activities following Apleona EHS management system.
    • Provide support to ensure activities align with company EHS management system.
    • Maintain customer confidence through the application of company EHS management systems, processes, and procedures.
    • Conduct risk assessments and assist managers in carrying out risk assessments.
    • Create method statements for work activities and review contractor method statements for accuracy.
    • Conduct audits to ensure compliance with company EHS management system and legislation.
    • Promote the dynamic risk assessment program; 5 Seconds for Myself.
    • Monitor the near miss, accident, and incident system.
  • Person Specification:
    • Must possess a hands-on approach to EHSQualifications and Experience.
    • NFQ Level 8 qualification in EHS.
    • 3+ years' experience, ideally within a life science facility.
    • IOSH membership desirable.
    • Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor qualification desirable.
    • Strong English language skills are required for this role.
    • Knowledge of Irish EHS regulations, guidelines, and best practices.
