Your team
The Head of Performance and Analytics holds a key leadership position in the Betfair Sports Commercial team. Responsible for driving analytical projects aligned with the Betfair Sports strategy using data expertise and strong stakeholder management skills. Harnessing, leveraging, and expanding data is crucial for our growth and generosity strategy, where the chosen candidate will take a leading role.
Moreover, the selected individual will interpret, communicate, and act on performance trends within the Betfair Sports business. Their tasks include ensuring comprehension of performance trends, utilizing insights, and ensuring teams consistently deliver the brand's offerings.
Collaborating with various stakeholders and teams across Betfair and Flutter UKI is essential to meet commercial objectives.
This is a 12-month maternity leave contract
What you'll do
  • Provide structured, quantitative, and qualitative analysis solutions for complex performance issues as they arise. Clearly articulate problems, identify issues, and communicate these regularly to relevant stakeholders.
  • Track commercial trend performance using key metrics. Present consistent narratives in reports, insights, and presentations to senior management and the wider business.
  • Develop top-notch methods to understand the performance of our generosity, including best practices for control groups and ROI calculations.
  • Utilize data to propose customer segmentation strategies for all aspects of generosity and customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Data Science teams to maximize the potential of our data products for enhancing the customer experience.
  • Lead and nurture a high-performing team, ensuring goal achievement and providing learning and growth opportunities.
  • Take charge of performance actions and oversee them through completion alongside cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Work closely with finance teams to ensure comprehension of performance trends during key budget and reforecast processes.
  • Understand the impact of new and existing customer safety measures on Betfair Sports business performance.

How you'll do it
  • Strong background in numbers; proficient in handling large datasets.
  • Highly skilled in SQL, with experience in data exploration tools like Looker providing a distinct advantage.
  • Leadership abilities, with the capacity to influence and gain support from stakeholders throughout the organization.
  • Commercial Acumen, possessing a business instinct and utilizing insights to drive commercial success.
  • Passion and enthusiasm to achieve great results.
  • Strategic thinking, taking a futuristic approach and anticipating upcoming trends.
