We are looking for passionate individuals to join our team in Dublin, and we are specifically seeking a Logistics Adviser to be part of our Supply and Logistics unit.
We are dedicated to equipping our employees with the necessary skills to thrive in their roles. Location: Our office is situated in Dublin 2, and we currently operate on a hybrid model with 50% remote work options and flexible hours.
This position involves 30% travel.
The Logistics Adviser role may offer the opportunity for predominantly remote work from Ireland.
The Position: Logistics Adviser
Your Responsibilities:
Job Purpose:
This role will focus on two key areas:
- Providing technical support in humanitarian logistics to Concern country programs, including areas like procurement, warehousing, transportation, asset management, and distribution.
- Ensuring effective logistics systems support emergency response, adhere to best practices, and enhance logistics capacity and expertise.
Key Duties:
- Offer logistics support to Concern country programs.
- Provide on-site technical support, conduct system audits, and offer training to program personnel.
- Join the Rapid Deployment Unit (RDU) for short-notice emergency deployments.
- Assist in filling short-term gaps in program countries when needed.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders including Regional Directors, suppliers, and program logistics teams.
- Support country programs in complying with donor procurement guidelines.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators for program activities.
- Oversee and review logistics reports from program countries.
- Aid in recruiting and onboarding international logistics staff.
- Uphold Concern's values, including equality and diversity.
Required Skills:
- Minimum of 3 years of international experience in humanitarian logistics.
- Proficiency in procurement, warehousing, transportation, and asset management.
- Strong teamwork, adaptability, and resourcefulness.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Capability to work effectively under pressure.
- Cross-cultural awareness, diplomacy, and numeracy.
- Third-level qualification in logistics or supply chain management.
- Familiarity with Concern's systems and HF/VHF radio technology.
Reporting to the Supply and Logistics Manager, you will collaborate closely with various teams and stakeholders. The salary for this permanent position ranges from €51,402 to €60,472 (Band 5).
