As a Financial Controller at Intrum in Dublin, you will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing the monthly closing of Purchase Investment (PI) and providing support to local and regional analysts. This role includes reporting on actuals, budget, and forecasts for different countries, as well as handling various finance-related projects. A key aspect of this role is to ensure strong internal controls are established and adhered to, while also ensuring timely and accurate reporting by all investment legal entities. This role presents a fantastic opportunity for the right candidate, requiring a solid background in accounting, commercial experience, project management skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team.
The Financial Controller plays a crucial role in driving Intrum's development and maximizing our opportunities.
Responsibilities Include:
- Portfolio Investment Monitoring & Closing: Coordinating and overseeing the monthly PI closing process, providing guidance to local and regional analysts, internal reconciliation between PI and finance systems, and involvement in budget/forecast processes.
- Tax Reporting: Handling filing of BI-Monthly Vat Returns, collaborating with internal and external resources for tax reporting accuracy, and supporting tax audits.
- Portfolio Investment Guidance / Group: Coordinating review and approval of payments for new investments, interacting with various Group functions, and conducting workshops for process improvements.
- General Finance and Accounting: Reviewing monthly P&L and Balance Sheet, ensuring timely financial reporting, overseeing the audit process, and maintaining compliance with accounting principles.
This role will also play a vital part in:
- Being part of a group-wide network that focuses on collaboration and sharing best practices.
The Financial Controller will collaborate closely with teams across different Intrum countries and key group resources.
