Key job responsibilitiesYou will be responsible for managing, improving and designing the AWS datacentre core networks leveraging the latest technologies to ensure we optimise performance to meet customers desires.
A day in the lifeYou will work closely with internal and external partners to drive the programs that you are responsible for.
You will ensure that timelines are defined and followed to enable the successful delivery of features and products to meet customer demands.
About the teamProduct Engineering Team sits within the DCF Organization and are responsible for all aspects of planning the core networking datacenter network.
The team is located between Seattle and Dublin with two primary services Platform Topology and Efficiency (PTE) and the Platform and Features (Pioneers).
The team has overall responsibility for managing the hardware and software required to support the datacenter core networks.The team ensures there are defined transition plans, maximizing the cost effectiveness of our topologies for the full lifecyle from initial designs to decommissioning.
We use the latest hardware to provide the best user experience for customers.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:
Dublin, D, IRL
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge of IP Networking fundamentals such as BGP, OSPF and other R&S technologies
- Experience scripting in languages such as Python, Perl or Shell"
- Experience analyzing datasets e.g. using SQL and providing valuable insights
- Knowledge of network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills; specifically, network performance analysis
- Experience working with customers to diagnose a problem, and work toward resolution
- Experience with network and capacity planning
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
