Department: DS2 Project Team
Position report to: DS2 CQV Lead
Introduction:
The DS2 Project involves the Design, Construction, and fit-out of a multi-product large-scale Cell Culture facility, including 6x bioreactors (13,200L), associated scale-up trains, support equipment, and a single purification suite to double existing site capacity. There is a high demand for licensed and pipeline products within the Pfizer Global Supply (PGS) network, leading to the necessity of this project.
Location: Grange Castle/A&E Firm (Jacobs, Dublin Office)
Project Background:
The project is currently in Detailed Design Engineering with Jacobs Engineering. Construction on site is well advanced (PM Group as Construction Managers). FAT has already commenced for some equipment. The project is targeted for CQV completion in 1H 2026.
Purpose of the Role:
Reporting to the Construction Manager, the Document Controller supports the project team in various capacities depending on project needs. Responsibilities of the role include:
Reporting to the CQV Lead role is responsible for:
- Manage Pfizer team document control & rationalize interfaces between multiple document control systems (MS Teams, EIDA, and PIMS) with project partners (EP & CM firms)
- Generate and maintain project logs & files including project notes, procurement orders, payments, risk register, action & decision logs, etc.
- Route documents for electronic sign-off on MSB/DocuSign
- Upload GMP documentation to PDOCS and route for approval
- Issue and reconcile protocols for execution from PDOCS
- Work with the engineering team to track FATs
- Verify the status of VTOPs and download approved VTOPs to the project folder
- Transfer approved documentation from MS Teams to Project Folder
- Create a library of all documentation and locations (hard and soft copies)
- Manage storage of hardcopy documentation
The ideal candidate should possess excellent interpersonal skills, be computer literate, and demonstrate a high level of competency in Microsoft Office, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency in using MS Teams and SharePoint is also required. Prior knowledge of EIDA/PIMS/PDOCS is advantageous but not mandatory as training can be provided.
