Job Overview:


As a Payroll Ops Manager, you will play a critical role in managing and optimizing payroll processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and collaborating with various stakeholders.

This position requires a deep understanding of finance and operations management, as well as specific knowledge of international payroll taxation requirements (Preferably about Polish and Swiss).

Your strong analytical skills, impeccable business judgment, and excellent communication abilities will be essential in driving process improvements and aligning team goals with broader organizational objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
*Set direction and objectives for payroll processes, contributing to team strategies.
*Define and solve complex problems affecting multiple processes, implementing the right policies and procedures.
*Collaborate with finance and other functions to ensure alignment and optimization of workflows.
*Act as a domain expert, making recommendations to leadership on process efficiency without compromising quality.
*Design and manage financial processes, controls, and reporting to ensure ongoing company operations and compliance with laws and regulations.
*Identify and connect personal OKRs to broader team goals, making autonomous decisions impacting your area.
*Craft innovative solutions and propose mitigation strategies for potential future problems.
*Improve current processes to increase efficiency and value for users.
*Manage and execute non-routine initiatives addressing immediate business needs, balancing these with team goals.
*Build relationships with other process owners and maintain effective cross-functional communications.
*Monitor the risk environment and provide insights for effective risk management and controls.

Skills and Qualifications:
*Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
*Strong analytical skills with impeccable business judgment and the ability to communicate with management.
*Collaborative working style with the ability to work with vendors and international teams.
*Excellent communication skills for business partnering with multiple functions and external partners.
*Experience with Polish and/or Swiss payroll taxation requirements.
*Ability to analyze information, generate alternatives and solutions, and evaluate outcomes.
*Operational management skills, including adherence to documented procedures, SLAs, and quality control.
*Knowledge of project planning methodology and deployment planning processes.
*Ability to assess and mitigate financial and operational risks, recommending improvements.
*Experience managing projects involving multiple stakeholders, tight timelines, and changing circumstances.
*Knowledge of systematic approaches to process improvement and cycle time reduction.
