We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior Onboarding and Risk Specialist to join our evolving global Underwriting Team. In this role, the chosen candidate will mainly collaborate with high-margin e-commerce merchants, receiving comprehensive on-the-job training and practical experience to gain a solid understanding of merchant underwriting and onboarding processes.
The Junior Onboarding and Risk Specialist will have a vital role in supporting the Underwriting team, ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process for merchants and their websites in line with Segpay's policies, risk strategies, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough reviews of merchant websites to ensure compliance with company and card scheme regulations.
- Assist the Underwriting Team in evaluating merchant applications based on acceptance policies and industry regulations.
- Perform KYB (Know Your Business) and other due diligence checks using internal and external resources.
- Help in maintaining merchant files and conducting ODD (Ongoing Due Diligence) checks.
- Collaborate with the Account Management team and other internal departments to address inquiries and requests regarding merchant onboarding and website evaluations.
- Undertake additional tasks related to merchant underwriting and onboarding processes.
- Handle any other assignments and projects as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an E-commerce environment, preferably with high-margin merchants.
- Basic understanding of card scheme rules and guidelines.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues effectively.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Proactive self-starter with a goal-driven mindset, eager to learn new skills and take on responsibilities.
- Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A team player with strong interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in computer skills.
