We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Junior Onboarding and Risk Specialist to join our evolving global Underwriting Team. In this role, the chosen candidate will mainly collaborate with high-margin e-commerce merchants, receiving comprehensive on-the-job training and practical experience to gain a solid understanding of merchant underwriting and onboarding processes.

The Junior Onboarding and Risk Specialist will have a vital role in supporting the Underwriting team, ensuring a smooth and efficient onboarding process for merchants and their websites in line with Segpay's policies, risk strategies, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough reviews of merchant websites to ensure compliance with company and card scheme regulations.
  • Assist the Underwriting Team in evaluating merchant applications based on acceptance policies and industry regulations.
  • Perform KYB (Know Your Business) and other due diligence checks using internal and external resources.
  • Help in maintaining merchant files and conducting ODD (Ongoing Due Diligence) checks.
  • Collaborate with the Account Management team and other internal departments to address inquiries and requests regarding merchant onboarding and website evaluations.
  • Undertake additional tasks related to merchant underwriting and onboarding processes.
  • Handle any other assignments and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an E-commerce environment, preferably with high-margin merchants.
  • Basic understanding of card scheme rules and guidelines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify, analyze, and resolve issues effectively.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Proactive self-starter with a goal-driven mindset, eager to learn new skills and take on responsibilities.
  • Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A team player with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer skills.
