Overview of the Role
Following on from the our success on projects such as LUAS and DART, our Ireland Team is looking for a Transport Associate in our Dublin or Cork Office. As the new Associate you will lead all stages of transport projects including Active Travel, Public Transport and Public Realm projects.
Current Clients include:
- Transport Infrastructure Ireland
- National Transport Authority
- Irish Rail
- Translink
- Local Authorities
- Major Contractors
There is also an opportunity to work on Mott MacDonald's international transport projects, including work on major HS2 and Heathrow projects.
You will be the primary point of contact for the sector for the Dublin office and will be responsible for relationships with key clients, creating opportunities that ensure Mott MacDonald achieves maximum penetration into the Irish market.
You will play a critical role in identifying opportunities and turning them into prospects, converting prospects into projects through bid teams by ensuring bids are technically and commercially sound, and ultimately deliver quality outcomes for our clients, to budget, on schedule, through project teams.
To achieve the greatest success, you will work in collaboration with Colleagues across the breadth of Mott MacDonald – with 18,000 staff worldwide, we have teams in all disciplines in all corners of the globe and world leading experts across a wide range of specialisms to support you, your projects, and your future development. You will be expected to lead and grow the team, deliver on our portfolio of projects, and collaborate with the wider Mott MacDonald Group to grow our offering to key clients.
There is tremendous potential for you to progress to a Senior Leadership role in Mott MacDonald.
This role will typically involve the following tasks:
- Develop strategy for the Transport Portfolio
- Acting as Project Director on projects
- Acting as Project Manager on major projects
- Managing, developing and growing the resource pool.
- Identifying and ranking opportunities
- Client Engagement
- Directing on bid submissions
Candidate Specification
The following criteria are required for this role:
- Hold a Level 8 degree in engineering.
- Chartered Engineer status
- Knowledge of the Client base in Ireland
- Track record in successful project delivery
- Strong Leadership and collaboration qualities
- Ability to grow a strong and diverse team
