The mission of the Hyperscale Network Connectivity (HNC) team is to build and manage the global network for the Microsoft Cloud. We are responsible for managing Fiber, Optical, WAN, Metro, and Edge connectivity globally for all Microsoft services. This role offers you the chance to drive changes that will have broad impacts. As a Technical Program Manager, you will collaborate with our Engineering and Product teams to define and set the strategic direction of Microsoft's network edge portfolio.

Candidates must showcase strong written and verbal communication skills, a tech-savvy mindset, experience in guiding technical audiences, the ability to balance the big picture with details, and adeptness in building relationships with key partners.

This role allows for flexible work arrangements, including the option to work partially or fully from home.

Qualifications

Required Qualification:

  • Experience in managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Bachelor's Degree AND experience in engineering, product/technical program management, data analysis, or product development OR equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet specific security screening requirements set by Microsoft, customer, and/or government.

Additional/Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND substantial experience in cloud-scale network infrastructure, engineering, and/or product/technical program management.
  • Extensive experience in managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Proficiency in reading and/or writing code.

Responsibilities

  • You will identify unknown or unmet needs within our processes and roadmap, clarify strategic directions, and define solution options.
  • Partner with others to collect performance metrics, monitor progress, derive insights, and improve features or feature areas.
  • Drive business impact across the organization by tracking success criteria for Edge network roadmap and augments.
  • Collaborate to track, coordinate, and communicate project schedules, and hold stakeholders accountable.
  • Deliver results in dynamic business environments by demonstrating a self-driven work ethic.
