Enable Ireland SeatTech specializes in custom manufacturing special seating systems for wheelchairs – creating bespoke solutions that are not commercially available.

We are currently looking for a highly motivated Clinical Specialist Seating Clinician or Senior Clinical Engineer to join our team in Dublin for a 12-month period. We welcome applications from individuals with backgrounds in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Clinical Engineering who can deliver top-notch services consistently.

Contract Type: 12-Month Full-time Contract

Salary Range: €59,258 to €69,068 per annum

Overview of the Post:
Enable Ireland SeatTech provides specialized clinical, engineering, and technical expertise required for special seating assessments, wheelchair prescription, and custom seating support design and manufacturing.

Our mission at SeatTech is to collaborate with individuals to provide them with the most suitable wheelchairs, seating, and positioning equipment to meet their specific needs. We aim to achieve this by working as a caring team that understands the significance of delivering high-quality services to each person.

The primary focus of this role is to offer high-quality specialist clinical support within the SeatTech service.

Overview of Duties & Responsibilities:
The Special Seating Clinical Specialist plays a key role in providing appropriate wheelchair and seating solutions for individuals with complex needs as part of the multidisciplinary team in SeatTech. The team's main goal is to provide the best custom seating solutions tailored to each individual's requirements promptly. The Specialist applies advanced clinical knowledge and skills in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of intervention programs related to wheelchairs and special seating.

The Specialist also serves as a clinical advisor to Enable Ireland colleagues and other agencies, supporting knowledge and skills development by collaborating with the service user and their support system. Additionally, they take a proactive approach to ensure productivity meets targets, deadlines are adhered to, and high-quality SeatTech products are delivered promptly.

Training provision is an integral part of the SeatTech service, with the Specialist leading the development and delivery of training programs for professionals and laypeople interested in postural management.

The Specialist also engages in ongoing audits and relevant research projects in the field.

Essential Criteria:
To be considered, candidates must:

Hold qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, or Biomedical/Clinical Engineering, recognized by the relevant boards. Additionally, have significant post-qualification clinical experience with a focus on special seating.

Desirable Criteria:

Involvement in relevant networks, understanding of postural management principles, experience in collaborative partnerships, project management skills, and proficiency in medical regulations and research are desirable.
