The Role :
The instructor will work with their students to help them understand the foundations of caring, develop their practical caring skills and become competent in the work of a healthcare support worker. Our learner cohort and our programmes require instructors who are adept at managing different learning styles while supporting and encouraging each individual to reach their own potential.

The instructor will be joining a collaborative and enthusiastic team of instructors, administrators, management and quality professionals who are dedicated to providing a comprehensive and high quality education to our learners.
Together, the team will collaborate to maintain relevance within the programme content, assess student progress, and ensure that students are supported and well-prepared to enter the workforce as competent and compassionate healthcare professionals.

What the role will be delivering:
  • Develop and deliver virtual and in-person training courses, including pre-course preparations and resources
  • Deliver training in line with current training plans and validation guidelines
  • Proactively implement QQI Policies and Procedures throughout the delivery of training, instruction and assessment of learners
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received
  • Develop methods of delivering training content to suit individual learners
  • Coach, mentor and challenge learners to develop their own competence
  • Support learners with access to and navigation of learning management systems
  • Role model positive behaviours and actively challenge any behaviours which do not promote the Elevation Training culture
  • Provide constructive feedback to learners
  • Assist staff and learners regarding any QQI queries
  • Submit all necessary work in line with the timeframe as laid out by the Training and Learning Coordinator
  • Support the team in terms of administration tasks required for training courses
  • Review and analyse learner completion data to identify trends and recommend solutions to improve learner completion and progression
  • Collect and collate learner and stakeholder feedback for programme/service review
  • Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders of Elevation Training
  • Work with key stakeholders to gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of training needs within the healthcare sector
  • Work with the wider community to ensure training content is relevant and fit for purpose
  • Liaise with and assist Internal Verifiers to ensure that all instructors are made aware of the Quality Assurance procedures and to ensure that all necessary documentation is made available to them
  • Actively monitor the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the business is compliant and bring to the attention of the Head of Training and Quality where required
  • Keep up to date with any information relevant to providers on the QQI website
Who are we looking for:

Essential
  • QQI Level 6 Train the Trainer/QQI Level 6 Training & Development Special Purpose Award or higher
  • Certificate in Manual Handling & Patient Moving Handling Instruction
  • A relevant health/social care/nursing background
  • Care of the elderly experience
  • Ability to travel
  • Clean driving licence
  • Ability to deliver accurate and timely results
  • Good presentation skills both internally and client facing
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess the ability to share knowledge
  • Have excellent relationship building skills
  • Pro-active individual with strong communication, negotiation, creativity, problem solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • Be empowered to take responsibility and accountability
  • Applicants must ensure attention to detail
  • Be innovative and performance orientated
  • Be comfortable in an IT rich environment
  • Ability to multitask, work well under pressure and ability to use own initiative.
Desirable
  • Have demonstrated good commercial and business acumen
  • Possess strong analytical ability
  • Experience in the use of a range of techniques to support learners of varying styles
