About Involve CLG: Involve CLG is a leading provider of Youthwork Services for young Travellers throughout the country. Our mission is to support young people and communities through various programs and initiatives, aiming to empower individuals, promote community development, and address critical issues such as social inclusion, education, employment, mental health, and wellbeing. Our projects engage approximately 650 young people from the Traveller Community on a weekly basis.

Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Board Member with a strong background in Human Resources to join our board. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in HR management and a commitment to advancing the mission of Involve CLG.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic HR advice and support to the board and executive team.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and practices.
  • Ensure the organisation is compliant with employment laws and regulations.
  • Support recruitment, on boarding, and retention strategies.
  • Guide the board on best practices in HR management and organisational development.
  • Collaborate with other board members to drive the strategic direction of the organisation.
  • Participate in board meetings and contribute to governance and oversight responsibilities.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in Human Resources, with a strong understanding of HR best practices.
  • Proven track record in a senior HR role, preferably within the non-profit or community sector.
  • Strong understanding of employment law and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to think strategically and contribute to the long-term goals of the organisation.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Involve CLG.

Desirable Attributes:

  • Previous board experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of youth work and community services.
  • Strong advocacy skills and experience engaging with external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to social inclusion, diversity, and equality.
