Job Title: Tiny Tots Unit Head

At a maximum we have 20 children aged 16 months to 2 years in this Unit with four Childcare Educators and the Unit Head. There are times when we will require some light administration work in the office: Filing, answering the phone & printing.

We are looking for a candidate who is self-driven, diligent, has excellent communication skills and has an interest in the creative arts.

  • To hold weekly scheduled staff meetings with your unit.
  • To manage the staff in your unit with regards to staff duties, weekly rosters and developing curriculum plans and age appropriate activities for the children in your unit.
  • To communicate effectively with children, parents and staff alike
  • Meet established policies and procedures, creating an environment of best practice
  • To undertake any additional instructions as required by your Assistant Manager, Manager, Proprietor.
  • Proficiency and confidence in the process of Inductions and settling-in new children to the service
  • To develop staff rosters weekly
  • To support and encourage staff
  • To teach the Montessori ethos of education
  • To respond to any concerns or complaints in a professional and timely manner
  • Event Management: To coordinate the yearly Christmas Show and Graduation
  • To ensure a safe, secure and healthy environment for the care, safety and welfare of the children
  • Provide for the holistic and developmental needs of the children.
  • Actively engage the children in developmentally appropriate learning activities to facilitate the potential development of each child
  • Develop term programmes that are innovative and child centred
  • Promote and help maintain an organised, clean, safe, well equipped and culturally sensitive learning environment
  • Observe and record children's progress
  • All employees are required to be flexible, and to be prepared to work in any area of the school and to assist with any activities should the need

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From €35,000.00 per year

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

  • Yearly bonus

Work Location: In person
