Head of Channel Domain Transformation

Primark has unveiled a new business strategy known as "Primark 0 – The Next Chapter," featuring an exciting growth plan that includes investments in our Trading channels.

To support our extensive business and transformation, we are structuring our team around three key domains:

  • Enterprise teams focusing on scaling operations efficiently, enhancing colleague experiences, and ESG programs.
  • Channels dedicated to enhancing the end-to-end customer journey, engaging customers, and building a strong brand.
  • Commercials responsible for managing the full order-to-receipt lifecycle and supporting Primark's growth objectives.
The company is looking to hire a seasoned Head of Channel Domain Transformation to lead and oversee the transformation within the Channel domain while ensuring alignment with other domains. This role will be instrumental in guiding Primark through this exciting growth phase. The Head of Channel Domain Transformation will collaborate closely with senior stakeholders to strategize, drive, and oversee the implementation of "Primark 0 The Next Chapter."

What You'll Be Doing:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive transformation strategy for the Channel domain.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and the Strategy Director to define the vision, goals, and roadmap for the transformation journey. Establish key metrics to measure success.
  • Partner with finance and business leaders to create business cases, ensure cost-effectiveness, and champion an integrated approach to budgeting.
  • Stay informed on external factors that may impact transformations, like regulatory changes and market trends.
  • Design and lead processes to drive transformation initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to develop cross-functional strategies for operational efficiency.
  • Represent Transformation in executive forums and ensure effective governance.
  • Provide insights on progress and financials, challenging leaders where necessary.
Your Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum + years' experience in a senior Transformation role, ideally in retail/FMCG/consulting.
  • Proven track record in leading large-scale retail transformations.
  • Experience working with technology functions and managing sizable budgets.
  • Proficiency in managing third-party consultancies and delivering business transformations.
  • Deep understanding of functional areas within the domain.
  • Demonstrated success in shaping business roadmaps and achieving long-term benefits.
