We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to play an integral role in a committed multi-disciplinary team.

37 hours Permanent, Full-Time

Responsibilities

  • Focus on evaluating the services provided to patients or residents through conducting studies.
  • The Centre requires a strict commitment to maintaining confidentiality for all patient/resident matters, staff information, and business affairs.
  • Maintain the Centre's compliance with statutory regulations and guidelines always.
  • Support in implementing practice innovations within the facility and assess their efficiency.
  • Analyze the psychological needs of the existing patient population and formulate recommendations for addressing these needs.

Requirements

  • Obtaining a recognized third-level degree or diploma (equivalent to QQ1 level 8) with psychology as the major subject.
  • The Department of Health validates an equivalent qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology, which is a recognized postgraduate professional qualification.
  • A minimum of five years of post-graduate experience in professional psychology is required.
  • Experience working within adult mental health/geriatric psychiatry after completing relevant qualifications.
  • A background in the healthcare field is essential.
  • Excellent ability to assess, formulate, and write reports at an exceptionally high professional level.
