The Data Center Infrastructure Delivery team is in need of an Operations Manager with a strong background in people management and tactical operations management.
This team oversees the installation of fiber optic cabling and server racks across Amazon's data center platform.
- Managing and developing teams of technicians and engineers, providing both technical expertise and leadership while ensuring peak performance levels.
- Expanding capacity in existing Data Centers.
- Contributing to the establishment and operation of new Data Centers.
- Continuously enhancing all processes and procedures to drive improvement.
- Overseeing relationships with external vendors and contractors.
- Collaborating with internal teams and management groups.
- Ensuring compliance with and surpassing local Health & Safety standards across all Data Centers.
- Establishing and tracking metrics on all Data Center aspects to drive positive changes.
- Assisting in implementing service methodologies such as incident management, problem management, change management, and capacity management.

Requirements:
- An engineering degree or equivalent with over 10 years of relevant engineering or manufacturing operations experience, including 3+ years in people management.
- Experience in incident and vendor management, with a focus on security and Health & Safety.
- Proficiency in driving and managing metrics/KPIs with exceptional organizational skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Suite, AutoCAD, and capacity planning.
- Strong track record of delivering complex projects successfully.
- Knowledge of Kaizen/Lean/Six Sigma principles preferred, with a history of innovation and simplification.
- Ability to interpret client requirements into technical specifications.
- Understanding of Data Center server rack and network infrastructure.
