What is the opportunity?

This is a fantastic opportunity to join Bank of Ireland's Security Testing team We are responsible for the identification of vulnerabilities across the Banks estate through a combination of Penetration Testing and Red Teaming activities.

You will be supporting the delivery of excellent and secure Customer Service and you will work with multi-stakeholders from across the Group to assess a wide variety of technologies.

In this Role, you will
  • Be responsible for ownership of scheduling and managing penetration tests along with other security testing activities
  • Work closely with key collaborators to gather required prerequisites in order to perform penetration tests across multiple technology stacks.
  • Gather metrics for program performance and report on monthly testing progression.
  • Help plan and implement the yearly penetration testing schedule and monitor progress with partners.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with internal collaborators and Third Party providers.
  • Support the vision to innovate and build the best technology solutions, while moving at pace towards a best in class operation.
  • Be passionate and enthusiastic to develop in an agile environment, using the newest technologies and practices.
What will make you stand out?

You have a proven track record in multiple areas of; security engineering, system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, threat intelligence and application security. You have superb communication skills and are a self-starter with ability to work on own initiative.

Experience/knowledge with the following is necessary to apply for this role:

  • Planning and developing penetration testing activities through the penetration testing engagement lifecycle.
  • Analysing the output of security testing activates and understand the risk posed to the bank.
  • Understanding of security testing frameworks and methodologies such as OWASP testing guide and NIST
  • Recommending improvements to the wider delivery.
  • Penetration testing and/or vulnerability management
  • Cyber risk
  • Risk identification, secure software design, secure architectures, security testing and vulnerability management and remediation

Experience with any of the following will help you to stand out but is not necessary in order to apply for this role;

  • 3rd level Qualification in Cyber Security
  • Security certifications
