Cpl is looking for an experienced Analytical Chemist to join SK Biotek for a 12-month contract.

This role is based at the R&D Centre in Swords, Co Dublin, where you'll find a mix of technical and operational expertise supporting the development and production of clinical and commercial products (small molecule APIs).

The Analytical Chemist will handle various aspects of analytical methodology, development, transfer, qualification, and troubleshooting related to small molecule APIs and intermediates. In addition, you'll assist in the daily operations and upkeep of the AR&D laboratories, collaborating closely with R&D Chemistry, Operations, Quality, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth manufacture of products. Mentorship of junior staff may also be part of the role.

  • Carry out analytical testing for method development, validation, and more.

    • R&D Chemistry lab work
    • Material Stability program
    • Reference standard qualification
    • Analytical investigations
  • Prepare and execute analytical protocols.
  • Review and compile analytical reports.
  • Ensure documentation is accurate and completed promptly.
  • Maintain calibrated instrumentation.
  • Collaborate with Senior Analytical Chemists for technical support.
  • Complete required training before tasks.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a culture of high performance and innovation.
  • Discuss performance and development opportunities with the manager.
  • Ensure GMP compliance in laboratory operations.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and high standards of housekeeping.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Preferably a BSC/MSc in analytical chemistry.
  • 1 to 3 years' experience in analytical activities in pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and technical writing skills.
  • Solid background in chemistry, especially analytical chemistry.
  • Ability to work efficiently and solve problems.
  • Adaptability and willingness to embrace new ideas.
  • Knowledge of FDA and European GMPs.
