Current Opportunity:
SK biotek Ireland is looking for an R&D PhD Chemist to join on a temporary 12-month contract at the R&D Centre in Swords, Co Dublin. The role involves supporting the development and manufacturing of clinical and commercial small molecule APIs with analytical expertise.

Role Overview:

  • Lead development projects including route scouting, proof of concept, and process safety assessment.
  • Provide technical support for API manufacture with a focus on optimization.
  • Identify and implement projects to improve processes considering scale-up and Critical to Quality Attributes.
  • Utilize data monitoring tools and implement new technologies to support development.
  • Collaborate with various teams on new product introduction and scale-up activities.
  • Support continuous process verification by monitoring and analyzing data for commercial products.
  • Participate in manufacturing campaign performance support teams and lead quality and safety investigations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong technical background and a PhD in organic chemistry.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in project management, troubleshooting, and continuous process verification.
  • Proficiency in root cause analysis, statistical tools, and analytical/diagnostic tools.
  • Adherence to GMP, Quality, Health & Safety standards.
