Contracts and Procurement Specialist

Techskills Recruitment is partnering with The CIF (Construction Industry Federation) to fill a crucial role within their team. The CIF is a member-centric organization that offers various services to help members navigate the complex business landscape effectively.

The ideal candidate will become part of the Main Contracting Services Department, collaborating with key associations and members of the CIF to provide essential guidance and support in procurement and contractual matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer guidance, information, and organize events to assist members in construction procurement procedures, contracts, and dispute resolution.
  • Implement changes to CIF's standard subcontract forms as per CIF policies.
  • Represent Main Contracting members in important industry committees and conferences.
  • Build and maintain relationships with public and private sector clients and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate CIF and association events and meetings.
  • Facilitate effective communication with contracting members to drive association growth and development.
  • Support CIF's strategic initiatives and contribute to process improvements.
  • Collaborate with other CIF team members to provide technical support.
  • Assist the Director across various policy areas and committees.

Candidates should have:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in procurement, contracting, or a related field.
  • Third level qualification in construction/procurement.
  • Proficiency in dealing with tendering and contractual issues.
  • Proven experience in research and report writing.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Adaptability to the changing industry landscape.

  • Experience in drafting complex contracts.
  • Policy development and communication skills.
  • Committee representation and administration.
