Projects PMO – PM Contractor

Contract: 12-months

Primary Pfizer Location: Grange Castle

Alternative Pfizer Locations: Newbridge and Ringaskiddy

ROLE SUMMARY:

The role reports to the "Strategic Program Management Office", Technology Excellence in Global Technology & Engineering (GT&E). You will manage complex/technical strategic projects from initiation through planning, execution, and closing. You will be responsible for tracking the assigned projects, developing playbooks, and executing relevant continuous improvement opportunities. You will drive project progress against established goals and timeline. You will oversee and manage project day-to-day operational aspects, acting as a liaison between Project Team and Project Sponsor(s)/Key Stakeholders. You will manage project status update and reporting. You will assess in the identification/escalation of project risks/issues and the establishment of mitigations.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provide overall project management support for assigned project(s), including (but not limited to):

o Compounds of Interest project(s), such as: Perfluoroalkyl and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS), Nitrosamines, Diethylene Glycol (DEG) and Ethylene Glycol (EG), and/or Titanium Dioxide

o Cost Improvement project(s)

o Other strategic projects

· Develop and maintain project charter (PDCA) with clear definition of project scope, resources, budget, goals/metrics, activities/milestones, dependency, timeline, constraint, and risks

· Align strategic project goals with Pfizer Blueprint, Core Business Principles, and PGS T6 Initiatives

· Validate business case/cost estimate for proposed project, ensure endorsement of key stakeholders, and alignment on the inclusion of the Cost Improvement Project (CIP) in site budget as applicable

· Develop and oversee project plan and schedule

· Develop and maintain project templates to track value, budget, actions, etc.

· Assist in establishing project governance following IMEx (Pfizer production system) structure

· Schedule and manage PMO meetings and issue minutes

· Assist in identifying project risks/critical issues and developing applicable mitigation plans

· Develop and maintain project risk register

· Ensure that standards and expectations for project management are followed by the project team

· Manage day-to-day project operational aspects, including, budget, timeline, escalation, metrics, etc. Track project deliverables to completion

· Works with various stakeholders to manage project resource allocations

· Actively seeks collaboration and builds relationships with key stakeholders to improve overall project outcomes and ensure timely project completion

· Prepare and share with key stakeholders routine and ad-hoc project reports

· Facilitate "continuous improvement" and "ideation" sessions as needed to identify opportunities to enhance project value delivery, timeline, and reduce risks. Drive the implementation of the prioritized/endorsed Continuous Improvement opportunities

· In collaboration with cross functional team, develop and maintain project and/or process Playbook(s) and Knowledge Management tool(s) (e.g., SharePoint, portal) for easy access to enhanced/standardized process, references, etc.

· Develop and execute project communications plan and roadshow slides

· Collect, document, analyze and share project closure lessons learned

· Identify opportunities for replication across platforms and/or across sites

· Support the effort to improve project management approach as well as the processes and systems addressed through projects

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Industrial, Biomedical Engineering) or Life Sciences (Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology)

· 8+ years of global project management/operational excellence experience

· 5+ years of Pharmaceutical experience

· Knowledge of pharmaceutical product lifecycle

· Fluent both written and verbally in English

· Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, using spreadsheet and financial functions

· Adaptable to work priorities in response to complex and rapidly changing environment

· Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing requirements

· Passion for learning and pursuing a career in the health care industry

· Strong communication and interpersonal skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Demonstrated financial acumen

· Project Management Certification

· Certified Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Innovation Coach

· SharePoint skills (developing simple SharePoint page/portal)
