Accounts Payable Specialist (hybrid)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Finance team

In this role you will be responsible for the end-to-end Accounts Payable function for several US, EMEA & APAC entities, which includes processing of vendor invoices and employee expense reports, payment runs, initiating wires, month end close activities via our ERP and automated expense tool.

Focus Areas

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Process AP invoices using ERP System (PO and Non-PO) in accordance with Corporate Policies and internal procedures
  • Process & audit Employee Expenses via on-line Expense Tool
  • Build business relationship with Vendors and internal stakeholders which includes
  • Working directly with Purchasing to resolve PO and GRNI issues
  • Work with internal departments to attain proper approval of Invoices
  • Working closely with General Ledger team on month end activities
  • Correspondence with vendors and managing queries in timely manner
    • Preparation of weekly payment runs as per agreed payment schedule
  • Create weekly EFT and Wire payments
  • Monitor weekly payments
  • Load manual payments via online banking portal.
    • Ensure on hold targets are met
    • Complete month end close activities: month end reconciliations, accruals, journal creation etc
    • Validate that internal controls are adhered to as per corporate policies.
    • Other duties assigned by Team Leader/Manager

About You

  • Minimum 2 years proven experience as AP processor
  • Knowledge of online banking systems
  • Knowledge of SAP or at least one other major ERP system
  • Knowledge of Automate Expense Tool Concur an advantage
  • Understanding of purchasing, receiving and 2 and 3-Way match process
  • Team player, positive and flexible attitude
  • Organisational and time-management skills
  • Experience in multinational organisation an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to communicate with internal key stakeholders
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines and maintain high level of productivity under pressure;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, and Word/Google Docs
