An opportunity for a Contract Hospital Specialist / Key Account Manager in Rare Diseases is available at Takeda Products Ireland Limited, located in Citywest.

This contract position is initially for a duration of 12 months.

Takeda has a range of products in the rare disease portfolio and aims to optimize commercial opportunities for a well-established product with a new neurology indication, focusing on key hospitals nationwide.

Responsibilities in detail:

  • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of diseases, products, competitors, and the ecosystem; share insights and continuously enhance understanding.
  • Lead a cross-functional team to execute and shape the territory account plan.
  • Increase revenue and market share of the brand, meet sales targets, and utilize available resources effectively by tailoring them to meet customer needs.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals at all levels through suitable channels, adjusting communication methods for maximum customer engagement.
  • Ensure strict compliance with relevant codes of practice and internal policies.
  • Use local market insights to identify coordinated approaches for projects that drive business development, ensuring accountability and a focus on results.
  • Demonstrate leadership by defining success from various perspectives, developing solutions for patients and customers.
  • Establish partnerships with the brand team and targeted healthcare professionals, communicating clearly and engagingly.

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or equivalent field.
  • Previous experience in similar roles, with existing relationships in neurology, hematology, hospital blood banks, and hospital pharmacies being advantageous.
  • Ability to quickly build strong relationships with key stakeholders and gain their trust.
  • Self-motivated, excellent communicator, and driven for success.
  • Strong influence and negotiation skills.
  • Proactive problem solver, able to tailor opportunities to customer needs and drive business growth.
  • Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Exceptional business planning and account management abilities, with a flexible and agile mindset.
  • Proficient in project planning, demonstrating capability to deliver complex projects effectively.
