Position Purpose:

Responsible for day-to-day maintenance tasks within the plant to minimize downtime through preventive and reactive maintenance methods according to specific site schedules. Focus on optimizing plant availability by conducting continuous maintenance following safety protocols, operational procedures, and complying with HSE regulations. Execute planned and breakdown maintenance at the plant, prioritize tasks using the defect reporting system, and coordinate with the Shift Supervisor or Plant Manager. Assist in operating the maintenance system, maintaining records electronically or through other means. Contribute to planning shutdowns and capital projects within the operational site.

Key Job Activities:
  • Provide immediate support for breakdown repairs to minimize plant downtime.
  • Monitor plant operations for safety and report engineering concerns to supervisors or managers.
  • Coordinate plant maintenance documentation with the manager.
  • Inspect and maintain statutory testing actions for equipment.
  • Update site-specific maintenance procedures as needed.
  • Report unsafe conditions to the Plant Manager.
  • Maintain workshop area and spare parts availability to reduce downtime.
  • Assist in 'out of hours' engineering support when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Plant Manager on equipment improvement initiatives.
  • Complete maintenance logs as per company guidelines.
  • Act as a substitute for the Shift Supervisor when required.
Education:

Required: High School or equivalent.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Experience (EMEAA):

3+ years of experience.

Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulics maintenance, steam systems, pneumatics, welding, electrical fault-finding, and industrial plant operations.

16th/17th Edition Electrical Qualification and FLT Licence preferred.

Willingness to grow in the role and familiarity with robotics.
