POSITION SUMMARY:

The packaging training specialist is responsible for delivering a high standard of training to the packaging team to ensure they are competent using packaging equipment, visual inspection and have a clear understanding of the process from a safety, compliance and efficiency perspective

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, revise and monitor training plans for packaging teams and the progress of each team member
  • Ensuring continual improvement of Packaging documentation (SOP's MBR's, OJT's, etc) for areas of responsibility to ensure they are current, accurate, and clear.
  • Hands on training of new and current team members while ensuring they are competent to perform the duties in Packaging and visual inspection
  • Become SME in Visual inspection of bags as per current regulations and deliver this training to team members
  • Keep up to date with industry trends via conference e.g. PDA and attend when required
  • Support a safe working environment by complying with all pertinent environmental health and safety practices, rules, and regulations.
  • Generating reports and presentations as required
  • Ability to travel for training both national & international when required

PERSON SPECIFICATION

  • Essential/Desirable/Knowledge & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years secondary hands-on packaging experience in a GMP envoirment
  • Understanding of serialisation and how it applies to Pharma industry
  • Detailed oriented
  • Excel, Word experience
  • Qualifications
  • Leaving certificate or similar
  • Train the trainer qualified
  • Train the trainer qualified
  • Third level education in Lean manufacturing or similar
