Job purpose
The successful candidate will directly control a team of loan operators across a number of jurisdictions, developing best in class processes and procedures to support the TMF global loans client base. They will be responsible for developing clear working methods with internal and external clients. They will also support the business by helping the sales team approach new leads.
The candidate will demonstrate clear subject matter expertise within loan accounting, procedural and technical issues. It will be a significant advantage to have background providing loan admin across direct lending funds and CLOs, as well as having expertise in one or more recognized loan admin platforms (e.g. Wall Street Office, Solvas, Sentry, Allvue).
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of loan administrators across multiple jurisdictions.
- Design, implement and own TMFs footprint strategy for effective cross jurisdictional coverage of TMF global loans client base.
- Create, customize and implement optimal delivery models to meet diverse set of client requirements spanning multiple locations and product types.
- In collaboration with IT, develop and improve control frameworks within loan model. In particular work to create scalable and durable operating models effective to flex as business grows.
- Ensure loan department activities run smoothly and efficiently, as observed through high quality output, client satisfaction, and zero errors/service issues. Define and implement the best operations model for the services through strong analytical and planning skills. Coaching and mentoring to develop team
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to loan administration, with the goal of improving efficiency, reducing risk, and enhancing customer service. Provide leadership and training within the department.
- Develop an effective global processing level quality control program within the remit of the loan admin team, to augment client/fund level operating model.
- Work with system providers and Global Delivery team to utilise applications to the fullest capacity, streamline processes and procedures, and ensure accuracy and compliance. Implement periodic updates to system software, verify that enhancements are working correctly and train department staff on updates.
- Help develop new work from existing clients, support new-new business development.
- Keep up to date on legal/regulatory/loan specific-based developments or changes that could affect the loan administration business and client base. Identify the key impacts and in conjunction with compliance, ensure staff is adequately trained on any impact.
Key Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of loan administration operations and regulatory requirements.
- Strong track record in managing team of loan operators across multiple locations
- Excellent organisational, communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritise, meet deadlines, and inspire collaboration.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Degree and minimum 10 years experience working in the global financial services industry.
- Previous experience in loan operations, preferably with direct experience in loan systems with track record of increasing level of supervisory/manager responsibility.
- Experience working with and managing a diverse range of offices, stakeholders, and services including loan funds, middle office and CLOs
