The myPOS Group is a major provider of point-of-sale payment acquiring and technology-related payment solutions to over 190,000 small and medium-sized merchants in 30 countries across Europe. With a solid track record of growth and success since its inception nearly ten years ago, the myPOS Group continues to show impressive annual growth exceeding 30%. myPOS Ltd ("MPL") was authorized as an Electronic Money Institution ("EMI") by the Central Bank of Ireland ("CBI") in September 2022 and launched its e-money issuing and payment services to customers in the European Economic Area ("EEA") in July 2023. Over the last 18 months, MPL has established a robust independent board and a skilled senior management team, filling key roles across all 3 lines of defense. As part of its business model that heavily features outsourcing service providers ("OSPs"), MPL is now expanding its Dublin-based Operations team. This particular role (in the 1st line of defense) offers the successful candidate an opportunity to shape and support the oversight of outsourced onboarding services, including "know your Customer/Business" controls. The role will assist the Customer Onboarding and Oversight Leads in completing necessary assurance activities to ensure a strong oversight and control environment at the outset of the customer journey with myPOS.

Purpose of the Role:
MPL's Dublin-based Operations team encompasses various operational functions, including Customer Onboarding, KYC/B, Customer Payments, Customer Support, Risk & Compliance Operations, Card Scheme Operations, and Third-Party Management. The "KYC Analyst" will primarily handle specific assurance activities related to executing certain KYC/B operational tasks and support Customer Onboarding and Oversight Leads in effectively overseeing operational outsourcing arrangements linked to the Customer KYC/B function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Decisioning of all new merchant onboarding applications at approval or rejection stage;
  • Complete QA of merchant applications against MPL onboarding procedures and scorecard monthly;
  • Support Second Line in the completion of Compliance Monitoring activity for Customer Onboarding;
  • Ensure effective ongoing monitoring and maintenance of updated KYC/B procedures for onboarded merchants;
  • Complete QA of customer account blocking or closures and ongoing due diligence activities;
  • Escalate suspicious or unusual behaviors to Customer KYC/B Leads;
  • Support oversight of OSP's compliance with outsourcing Statement of Work ("SoW") for Customer KYC/B;
  • Act as a point of escalation for OSP referrals, liaising with OSP delivery managers as needed;
  • Assist in investigating and resolving weak areas in Customer KYC/B identified through KRI reporting, risk assessments, internal/external audits;
  • Support testing of Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Management ("DR/BCM") plans, including for OSP, per MPL BCM policy and outsourcing SoW for Customer KYC/B.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Customer KYC/B operational role in EMI, banking, or payments services;
  • Knowledge of European AML requirements;
  • Multi-lingual skills are advantageous;
  • Previous experience engaging with outsourced service providers;
  • A disciplined professional with strong workload management, prioritization, and issue escalation skills in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent team player with strong interpersonal skills, able to work independently and collaboratively;
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience in operational reporting related to KYC/B activity;
  • Willingness to learn and grow within myPOS;
  • Ability to work in our Dublin office three days a week.
