Mercer is seeking candidates for the following position based in our Dublin or Cork office:

Senior Pensions Project Administrator

What can you expect:

The Scheme Transition Unit Administration team currently deals with a large number of projects. These projects range from working on the wind up of Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution Pension Schemes, dealing with Pensioner Verification Exercises and also Deferred Verification Exercises. The overall team size is more than 8, with some team members located offshore. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity to work as part of the Scheme Transition Unit team to provide a high quality and fully compliant standard of service to your own portfolio of clients and to work on new projects that will be coming in the future.

We will rely on you to:

  • Administer a diverse portfolio of schemes, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Meet compliance requirements and client-specific Service Level Agreements (SLAs) on an ongoing basis.
  • Liaise with offshore colleagues to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
  • Monitor and track task completion within agreed timelines.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure project completion as per agreed terms.
  • Assist the Fund Accounts team in the preparation of the Trustee Annual Report.
  • Support the team manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the team.

What you will need to have:

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to provide a high level of customer service to your clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including working with formulas, pivot tables, and V look-ups.

What makes you stand out:

  • 5 years plus pensions administration experience in a consultancy firm, brokerage, life office or working on an in-house scheme (desirable).
  • Challenges the status quo in search for efficiencies (desirable).
  • Successful completion of the Pensions QFA module (desirable) or working towards same.
  • Project management experience.
