The Dennehy family have a long-established name in the automotive industry, having been in operation for over 75 years.
A multi franchise dealer, Dennehy Motor Group are the proud holders of Renault, Dacia, Fiat, Opel, Jeep, Man trucks and Isuzu in Limerick.
We are looking for a Qualified Accountant to fill a Senior role based in our Limerick office.
The responsibilities will include:
Preparation of financial statements for the Group.
Managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Completion of tax compliance work, including VAT, corporation tax, and income tax returns.
Assisting with management accounts, forecasting, and budgeting for clients as required.
Reviewing work prepared by team members, providing mentorship and support.
Analyse financial data and provide insights for decision-making.
Develop and maintain detailed budgets and forecasts for projects and business operations.
Work closely with operations to ensure budgets are adhered to and deviations are explained.
Conduct rolling forecasts and scenario analysis to anticipate financial risks and opportunities.
Liaising with various departments, Directors, clients and stakeholders, offering professional advice and guidance on accounting matters.
Oversee month end, yearend cycle.
Ensuring compliance with regulatory and professional standards.
Requirements
Qualified Accountant.
5+ years' experience.
Motor Industry experience desirable.
Proficiency in accounting software.
An in-depth knowledge of accounting and auditing standards.
Practical Tax Return preparation experience.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Strong attention to detail and with an ability to use own initiative, manage multiple deadlines and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Working Hours:
You will be required to work 39 hours per week.
The working hours of this position are 08:30hrs to 17:00hrs, Monday to Friday only.
