Overview Accounts Payable Lead / Supervisor role at Cpl . Our client, a major player in the green energy and clean tech sector, is expanding and seeking a talented, energetic, and ambitious Accounts Payable Lead to join the Finance Team in Limerick.
The Role Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Payable Lead is integral to the finance team. The successful candidate must be highly organised, self-driven and committed to delivering high quality work under regimented time constraints.
Responsibilities Management of Accounts Payable email account including distribution of documents. Ensure timely and accurate processing of 3-way match from PO, proof of delivery, to Invoice.
Collaborate with other departments, such as procurement and site, to resolve queries and ensure timely/accurate processing of invoices.
Manage vendor relationships and resolve any issues or disputes related to payments or invoices.
Complete monthly creditor reconciliations on a timely basis.
Understand and adhere to monthly cut-off processing of invoices to ensure accurate and timely month-end/year-end close processes for accounts payable.
Liaise with accounting on calculation of accruals and prepayments.
Prepare and analyse accounts payable reports, including aging reports and cash flow projections.
Investigate and assume responsibility for accuracy of creditor reports.
Management and processing of suggested payment lists.
Manage and train a team of accounts payable professionals.
Develop and maintain accounts payable policies, procedures and controls in line with best practice.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.
Monitor and analyse accounts payable processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
Assist with VAT and RCT filings within ROS.
Assist with audits and provide documentation/support as needed.
Skills & Experience Financial qualification suitable to the relevant field.
5+ years in an Accounts Payable function with supervisory experience.
Understanding of relevant contractors agreements and payment applications.
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices specifically in relation to VAT and RCT.
Knowledge of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
Experience in Microsoft Dynamics or a comparable ERP system desirable for Accounts Payable Manager/Supervisor roles.
Ability to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and deadlines.
Experience in training and management of accounts payable staff.
Proficiency in Excel.
Team-oriented and adaptable to change; strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience in process improvement and implementing best practices.
The Offer This is a permanent onsite role based in Limerick city, with base salary in the range of €45,000 - €50,000 per annum, plus benefits. Hours: Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm (1 hour lunch).
