Activity Coordinator
Rosemount House nursing home is looking for a full-time Activity Coordinator / Social Care practitioner to provide meaningful activities to our residents in our busy nursing home.
If you like working with people and enjoy a varied hands-on role, this is for you
You will aspire to lead and encourage residents to join in meaningful activities whilst maintaining their independence, choice, and dignity, enabling them to lead as full and active a life as possible.
You will create a stimulating and varied program of leisure activities and social events inside and outside the home for residents to enjoy.
This person must always ensure our residents' privacy and dignity.
Candidate must:
Enjoy working with older people
Be a committed, patient and caring person with a sense of humor and a positive outlook on life
Be highly motivated and have excellent communication skills to deliver the activity program to a range of people with different abilities
Have the ability to work well in a team and liaise with other staff, volunteers, and residents
Be enthusiastic, caring, reliable, and empathetic
Have strong organizational and time management skills
Duties include but are not limited to:
Create and maintain a weekly and daily social activity calendar for our residents
Ensure all residents receive social activity each week
Work as a team member within the home
Organize activities, in-house events, and day trips
