OverviewSenior Buyer – Dublin – at Jones EngineeringJoin to apply for the Senior Buyer role at Jones Engineering.Company DescriptionWe are a leading engineering services company with a proven track record of high quality, customer focused project delivery for over 130 years.Our core divisions include Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Sprinkler and Fire Protection.We offer competitive salaries, financial support for further training, Continuous Professional Development (CPD) leading to chartered status, performance incentives and the ability to progress your career with a world class engineering contractor.PositionSenior BuyerLocation: Ballsbridge, Dublin 4Key ResponsibilitiesLead scheduled procurement meetings with project teams on key projects: develop project-specific procurement strategies, ensure quality, cost and delivery targets are met and monitor supplier performance.Lead the procurement of key projects both domestic and international, through sourcing, negotiation, pricing, technical compliance, and supplier selection, leveraging volume discounts and long-term partnerships while managing risks associated with supply continuity.Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, conducting business reviews, negotiating framework and rebate agreements, and ensuring adherence to contractual obligations.Develop strategic domestic and international supply chains to support key projects.Evaluate supplier capabilities and make recommendations for supplier selection according to our supplier qualification process and strategy.Ensure compliance within the division with our quality procedures.Prepare project and division procurement reports.Identify and develop department and interdepartmental process improvements with key Group stakeholders.Monitor supplier performance for the division in conjunction with the Group Quality Team.Carry out supplier reviews informed by the process.Provide accurate and concise information to the Head of Electrical Procurement to inform strategic decision making.Inform, implement, and lead the ESG development of the division in conjunction with The Group ESG Leads.Lead continuous improvement of SAP ERP based procurement.Mentor procurement team members.Perform other duties as assigned by the head of procurement.QualificationsAbility to manage a team.Responsibility for several key projects.A minimum of 5 years' experience in a purchasing role.Engineering experienced candidate advantageousKnowledge of / experience in the construction industry required.Relevant 3rd level qualification - IIPMM or equivalent preferred.Full training on in-house procedures/systems will be provided.Excellent written and verbal communication skills essentialExcellent IT skills essential - knowledge of SAP would be advantageous.Salary will be in line with responsibilities, qualifications, and experience.BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary package commensurate with experience and qualifications.You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, collaborating with industry leaders and contributing to a sustainable future.Our company values work-life balance and encourages professional growth through training and development programs.We are an equal opportunities employer and we encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply for roles.We are an equal opportunities employer, and we encourage candidates from all backgrounds to apply for roles.Job DetailsSeniority level: Mid-Senior levelEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Purchasing and Supply ChainIndustries: ConstructionDepartment and additional information: Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Jones Engineering.#J-*****-Ljbffr
