Destination/ Roadmap
Since 2004, Transdev has operated the LUAS tramway in Dublin.
Transdev Dublin Light Rail manages 2 tramway lines, 80 vehicles, and employs 600 staff.
In 2019, millions of passenger journeys were made on Luas, with over 120,000 journeys daily.
We are now looking for a Fleet Engineer Manager to join our dynamic Fleet team within Luas.
Key Responsibilities
The Fleet Engineering Manager is responsible for:
Delivering asset management strategy in line with ISO 55001.
Collaborating with the Fleet Maintenance department to plan and implement maintenance requirements within set tolerances.
Reviewing and approving annual maintenance plan updates.
Managing the creation and update of fleet maintenance documentation, including work instructions, certificates, toolbox talks, etc.
Overseeing fleet overhauls and non-planned/emerging maintenance projects.
Implementing reliability projects based on data analysis and experience feedback.
Ensuring all projects and initiatives adhere to engineering standards and compliance regulations.
Working with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery of parts and services meeting quality standards.
Developing solutions for component obsolescence.
Managing the implementation and delivery of the Failure Reporting and Corrective Action System (FRACAS).
Managing engineering change control processes.
Producing documentation for defects and variations.
Liaising with clients and regulatory bodies as required.
Setting and prioritizing the workload for the engineering team.
Managing team performance, including annual leave, sickness, and overtime.

Required Education and Experience
Minimum Level 8 qualification in an Engineering discipline.
At least 5 years of experience in an engineering department, with a minimum of 2 years in management.
Preferably 5 years of experience in the railway industry.
Experience in designing or maintaining safety systems.
Experience in the maintenance industry.
Knowledge of safety risk analysis.
Skills

Full proficiency in English is required.
Additional information
Working hours: Daytime, Monday to Friday (39 hours/week).
Work location: Company premises at 3 depots, with possible requirements to work at subsidiary sites with prior notice.
