An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller. As we continue to grow and expand our operations, we are seeking an experienced Financial Controller, directly reporting to the Directors of the company. The successful applicant will have overall responsibility for the finance function including day to day financial management, financial reporting, budget preparation, general ledger accounting, inventory and fixed asset accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial accounts for several companies (not just one). We want someone that can work on their own initiative and can multitask in a fast-paced environment. The role is a hands-on role and will require someone with hospitality experience would be a requirement. Key responsibilities of the position include: Management of the entire finance function across multiple companies. Management of accounts receivable, accounts payable, variance analysis and payroll processing. Vat and Tax processing. Processing Weekly and Monthly Payroll. Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts Creation and completion of financial year end accounts for all companies Responsibility for the preparation and review of various financial plans to include the provision of recommendations to the directors Identify cost saving and cost reductions where necessary Deal with third party suppliers to drive discounts Continually identify and drive cost improvements throughout the organisation Responsibility for the various tax and filing requirements in a timely manner Coordinate and lead all internal and external financial audits. Be responsible for the management of all banking relationships. Implement Sage accounting. Applicants must possess: Accounting or finance - CPA / CMA / and/or MBA Professional qualification ACCA/CIMA Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior Financial Role Strong working knowledge of accounting systems Know how to interpret complex financial information. Have excellent information technology, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to use complex pivot tables and excel. Ability to use Sage50/100 or other accounting Packages. Possess strong team building skills with proven abilities in decision-making and sound personal judgments. Demonstrate a collaborative mind-set, with a partnering approach to achieving collective mutually beneficial outcomes.
