We are currently seeking a highly-motivated
Support Worker
to join our team in
Ballintemple, Cork (Nursing Unit Childrens Services)
Contract Type: Permanent
Contract Hours: 20 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
Salary Scale: €32,639 - €39,499
pro rata per annum (based on Full-time).
For part-time hours and term-time post (€15,225 - €18, 425)
This pay scale is subject to increases in 2025 in accordance with the recent WRC agreement towards enhanced pay adjustments in Section 39 organisations.
Annual Leave Entitlement
: 30 days pro rata per annum for part-time hours and term time post and proportionately less for less than 12 months service.
Overview of the Post:
The role of the Support Worker is to work as part of a dedicated and innovative team to provide individualised services to children with disabilities who attend the School of the Divine Child.

The successful candidate will have
· QQI Level 5 Major Award in one of the following:
o Social Care
o Pre Nursing
(8 modules to include one module on special needs/disability studies/challenging behaviour or a commitment to complete one of these modules within 6-months of commencement)
OR
OR
· Year 1 of a relevant degree programme in Health and Social Care (such as Social Care, Child Care, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Speech & Language Therapy)
AND
· Full Clean Manual Driving Licence and willingness to drive company vehicles.
AND
Be eligible to work in the state
· Experience of supporting people with disabilities.
· Experience of working with people with behaviours of concern.
· Experience of providing personal care
· Basic IT skills
