Here in Barden we are delighted to be working with a leading Irish property and construction group to identify a Buyer / Procurement Specialist to take on a vital role in sourcing and securing the materials that power high-quality, timely project delivery.
In this role, you'll join a dynamic team where procurement is more than just purchasing, it's about strategic thinking, value creation, and alignment with ambitious build schedules.
You'll partner closely with operations, site managers, suppliers, and technical leads to ensure continuity of supply, cost-efficiency, and high standards at every stage of the project lifecycle.
You'll play a key part in major residential and commercial developments across Ireland and you'll have real autonomy to shape procurement strategies while working closely with project leaders.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
Managing end-to end procurement of construction materials across multiple live and upcoming projects.
Collaborating with internal teams to align sourcing with project timelines and technical requirements.
Leading supplier negotiations, cost analysis, and value engineering initiatives.
Monitoring inventory levels and planning material flow to avoid project delays or excess stock.
Owning supplier relationships, performance management, and re-sourcing where needed.
Supporting tender packages, procurement input into design discussions, and continuous process improvement.
ABOUT THE PERSON:
At least 4-5 years' experience in procurement, ideally in construction, property development, or manufacturing.
A natural negotiator with strong commercial instincts and excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
Technically confident with ERP/procurement systems and advanced Excel capability.
Able to think strategically, act operationally, and juggle multiple deadlines with a calm, solution-focused mindset.
Someone who enjoys building strong supplier relationships.
