Job Description
Due to growing demand for our consultancy services, we are seeking to recruit a Principal Consultant with digital programme management skillsets to join our specialist Turner & Townsend Technology consulting team.
The role requires a candidate with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, experience engaging with client stakeholders and the ability to work independently.
An organised and systematic approach to work is a must, as well as an ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, senior leadership and external partners to allow for the delivery of cutting-edge digital solutions.
The role will play an important part in managing risks and challenges associated with large-scale digital programmes by identifying potential issues early and mitigating them effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Governance and Leadership:
Create governance frameworks to support the successful and robust delivery of digital services
Define the vision, scope, and objectives for digital programmes that align with client's strategic priorities.
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of the digital programme, providing alignment with business goals and adherence to quality and security standards
Create a repeatable programme and project governance framework to ensure consistency across projects
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement programme roadmaps, identifying milestones, deliverables and resource requirements
Align programmes to address both short-term needs and long-term client goals
Project Management Support:
Lead and co-ordinate a team of project managers to achieve required outcomes across the programmes
Support in the creation of project charters to ensure clear accountabilities across individual projects
Stakeholder Management:
Work with senior client stakeholders across different teams and functions, making sure they are engaged and support all digital initiatives within a client organisation
Risk Management:
Identify risks at a programme level and proactively take steps to engage relevant stakeholders and mitigate risks
Co-ordination and Lessons Learned:
Co-ordinate activities across multiple project managers, resulting in consistency and alignment with overall programme objectives
Facilitate the documentation and sharing of lessons learned to promote continuous improvement and knowledge transfer
Performance Measurement and Reporting:
Establish KPIs and metrics to track programme performance and impact
Deliver regular progress reports and updates to senior leadership highlighting achievements, risks and opportunities for improvement
Qualifications
Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience
10+ years of experience managing digital and information technology projects
Agile, Waterfall & PRINCE2 project management and Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) accreditations
Experienced at setting up and running programme governance frameworks
Experienced at risk, stakeholder and change management
Experienced at creating digital strategy and implementation plans.
Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving skills and presentation skills, with an eye for detail
