Our client, a leading manufacturing company based in County Kildare, is seeking an experienced and strategic Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimise their end-to-end supply chain operations.
This is a key leadership role responsible for procurement, inventory, logistics, and supplier performance-ensuring materials and components are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with business objectives
Oversee procurement activities, including sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management
Manage inventory levels and implement forecasting models to support production planning
Lead logistics and distribution operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery
Monitor supplier performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Collaborate with production, finance, and quality teams to ensure seamless operations
Implement and maintain ERP systems and supply chain reporting tools
Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies
Identify risks and develop contingency plans to safeguard supply continuity
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing supply chain team
Requirements
Proven experience in supply chain management within a manufacturing or engineering environment
Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory control, logistics, and supplier performance metrics
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced Excel skills
Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
Strong leadership and communication skills
