On behalf of our client, a leading healthcare company, we are currently recruiting for a Field Service Engineer.The role will cover all of Ireland but predominately will be for the West/Southwest.This is a renal dialysis technician role.The Field Service Engineer will join a team of 3 experienced engineers providing technical support to renal dialysis equipment.A structured training programme will be put in place for the successful candidate incorporating certified manufacturer training courses in conjunction with hands on experience working alongside experienced engineers on customer sites.You will be challenged in this role to develop and establish expertise in the company renal equipment and technology.Responsibilities:To engage in the technical repair – both preventative and corrective, of equipment at customer sites or other locationsTo advise and lead on the installation requirements for a renal dialysis unitTo undertake technical and user support training (both locally and in Germany) for company products and other relevant equipmentTo develop and maintain a level of technical competencyWillingness to learn and embrace emerging technologies in the dynamic environment of modern medical devicesTO be commercially aware and market orientatedFlexibility to travel to our customers in the 32 counties of Ireland.RequirementsQualified in electronic / electrical / mechanical / biomedical engineering or similar technical disciplineStrong computer and communication skills essentialPrevious experience in renal technical services (maintenance and repair) is desirableComfortable working in a clinical setting and interacting with allied health professionals (eg nurses, doctors and biomedical engineers)Familiar with relevant E.U Directives for medical devices eg MDR, EN *****, I.S.O quality standardsFull clean driving licenceFlexible to travel regularly throughout Ireland, and further as the needs ariseFor full details and job spec, email your CV to (email protected) or call Tina at / Thornshaw Scientific is a leading life sciences recruitment specialist.
