Overview
Site Manager role at Hitachi Energy, Grid Integration business, based in Dublin.
The sites you will manage can be anywhere in Ireland.
You will lead on-site activities of projects to ensure cost-effective execution of deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements during start-up, construction and/or erection, commissioning and maintenance phases.
Location: Dublin

Responsibilities
Plan on-site activities with the Project Manager, including resources, equipment and milestones.
Coordinate agreement between customer and external resources on construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization and policy.
Own the site from receiving the assigned area to handover on completion, coordinating all on-site activities to ensure successful start-up, construction, erection, testing and commissioning in line with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
Represent the project on site and maintain effective relationships with customers and local stakeholders.
Ensure correct handling, storage and installation of equipment and materials; report receipts promptly to project logistics.
Ensure RAMS (risk assessments and method statements) are in place for each work package and compliant with the project health and safety plan.
Ensure on-site resources are properly trained and promote health and safety to project partners throughout the project.
Control project costs on site, monitor spend against forecasts, and estimate final costs for the site work.
Maintain and update documentation in the handling system for construction work on site.
Manage on-site sub-contractors to ensure quality and progress meet delivery dates and standards.
Provide regular reports to the Project Manager on site activities, HSE, quality, progress, and cost.
Your Background
Proven experience as a Health, Safety and Environment Manager.
In-depth knowledge of Irish Health and Safety legislation and best practices.
Strong organizational, leadership and communication skills.
Experience working within high-profile, regulated environments.
Ability to manage priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent skills.
5+ years' experience as Site Manager in construction and/or installation business.
Good understanding of transmission regulations and current HSE legislation.
Proven leadership with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and strong communication skills.
Proactive and flexible personality.
