Assistant Branch Manager Location: Charleville/ North Cork Reports To: Branch Manager & Senior Management About the Role Our client is a well-established builders providers serving the construction and DIY sectors across Munster for over 90 years. They pride themselves on offering a comprehensive range of high-quality building materials, home improvement products, and expert advice to both trade professionals and homeowners. They are now seeking an experienced, sales-driven, and highly motivated Assistant Branch Manager to support the day-to-day operations of their busy branch in Charleville. Working closely with the Branch Manager, youll help ensure operational excellence, outstanding service delivery, and continued commercial growth. Key Responsibilities Support a high-performing branch operation, overseeing sales, customer service, stock control, opening/closing procedures, and logistics. Lead, motivate, and train staff to deliver exceptional customer experiences and uphold company standards. Assist with inventory control, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely replenishment. Drive sales performance through proactive customer engagement and business development initiatives. Ensure compliance with all health & safety legislation and internal policies. Deputise for the Branch Manager as required, maintaining operational continuity. Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. Lead the trade counter team to maximise sales opportunities within the branch. Skills & Qualifications Proven supervisory or management experience within builders providers, construction supply, or a related industry. Demonstrated leadership, communication, and organisational abilities. Strong product knowledge of building materials and related trades. Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to exceptional service. Strong commercial awareness and proven sales experience. Competency in Microsoft Office and relevant POS/inventory systems.
