Overview
Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Research Scientist within UCD School of Business.
The successful candidate will work under the direction of Professor John Cotter.
The role places a strong emphasis on machine learning applications in asset pricing and corporate finance, alongside traditional econometric and factor modelling techniques.
The successful candidate will coordinate all data-related activities, support early career researchers, and lead the FMC Cluster's reading group, fostering a collaborative research environment.
Responsibilities
Coordinate all data-related activities for the team and project.
Support early career researchers in their work and development.
Lead the FMC Cluster's reading group and foster a collaborative research environment.
Contribute to research activity under the supervision of Professor John Cotter.
Apply machine learning techniques to asset pricing and corporate finance projects, alongside econometric and factor modelling approaches.
Qualifications
Background in Finance, Financial Economics, FinTech, Sustainable Finance, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
Experience with machine learning applications in asset pricing and corporate finance, and in econometric and factor modelling techniques.
Salary
Salary: €40,000- €70,000 per annum
Appointment and Qualifications
Appointment on the above range will be dependent on qualifications and experience.
